Where are the settings? I don't see any options in the Customizer.

The free version has no settings. The Customizer options come with Design Upgrade Pro.

If you have Pro, look for Appearance → Customize → LearnDash Design Upgrade. On LearnDash's Legacy template, the panel is called LearnDash instead.

Do I need to keep the free version active?

No. Deactivate and delete it: Pro includes everything the free version does, and if both are active, most Pro settings stop working.

What are "LearnDash Styles" in the Customizer?

Design options that LearnDash itself added in version 4.15. They're not part of Design Upgrade Pro, and Design Upgrade Pro's styles take precedence over them.

Can I style one course, lesson or topic differently?

No. Every setting applies to all of your LearnDash content.

Can I use my own icons?

No, Design Upgrade Pro doesn't support custom icons.

Can I show extra details, like the number of lessons or students?

Not with Design Upgrade Pro. That needs custom fields and changes to LearnDash's template files.

Can I change fonts?

Design Upgrade Pro doesn't set font families: LearnDash uses your theme's fonts, so your courses match the rest of your site. You can change text sizes and colors on the Typography section, which scales five tiers of LearnDash text in proportion.

If your theme doesn't give you the fonts you want, a font plugin can help.

Can I collapse section headings and the lessons under them?

No, not with Design Upgrade Pro. That needs custom code.

Which themes does it work with?

It's built to work with almost any theme, and has specific fixes for Astra, OceanWP and BuddyBoss. See Theme compatibility.

Which PHP and WordPress versions does it need?

PHP 7.4 or later and WordPress 6.0 or later. See Install and activate.

I used Quiz Customizer. Do I still need it?

No. Its quiz settings are built into Design Upgrade Pro, and your saved quiz settings carry over. See Quizzes.
